'Tis the season of giving! During a recent phase of our ongoing remodeling project, a large amount of copper pipe was removed. Pat with Last Frontier Mechanical and Frank from our Plant Operations department, devised a plan to recycle the materials and donate the money to Bean's Cafe. Julie, our CEO along with Pat and Frank delivered the $5,000 check today.
A group toured our NEST (Neonatal Abstinence Evaluation Support & Treatment) Unit this morning, including representatives from the offices of Senators Meyer and Ellis, and Representatives Drummond and Hughes. Also attending were personnel from the Dena A Coy center, Volunteers of America, FASDx Services and Alaska Neonatology Associates. Thanks to the group for coming to learn how we are providing specialized care for families and newborns struggling with substance abuse and withdrawal.
