Alaska Regional Hospital is a Joint Commission Accredited Healthcare Organization, and has achieved accreditation by the American College of Radiology in Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and CT Scan. Our Diagnostic Imaging Department is committed to continually improving our high-quality health care.

All imaging procedures are supervised and interpreted by fellowship-trained, Board-certified radiologist. ARH partners with Alaska Imaging Associates, one of Anchorages esteemed group of physicians who specialize in performing and interpreting medical imaging studies.

The imaging services at Alaska Regional Hospital are obtained and managed by a fully digital environment often referred to as PACS, (Picture Archive and Communications System). This advanced technology means your physician can access digital images and view your test results from anywhere there is Internet access - usually within hours of your diagnostic imaging procedure!

The PACS system enables healthcare providers to get vital imaging results and information about your health faster so that treatment of your medical concerns can happen even more quickly.

We are dedicated to providing the highest quality and safest care to our patients. Our technologists are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and we are committed to “image gently and wisely” principles to ensure that optimal images are obtained while keeping the patient dose of radiation as low as reasonably achievable.
