New Equipment, Technology and a Facelift!
We are excited to announce that on May 30th we will begin replacing two pieces of equipment in the Imaging Department. X-Ray Room 1 will welcome a new, fully digital and bariatric-capable X-Ray system. We will also replace the ADAC Laboratories nuclear medicine camera with a state-of-the-art GE Discovery 630 nuclear medicine system.
Two weeks later, we are deploying a communication system to our clinical departments called “iMobile.” The smart phones will include an app that allows clinicians to securely text physicians who have downloaded AirWatch software and the communication application on their personal devices. This technology improves communication among caregivers and reduces delays in patient care.
Our most recent completed project was removing the carpeting on the fourth floor where dialysis, EEG, PFT and infusion services are located. The Medical Office Building hallways and restrooms also received a facelift. Future projects include installing new 3D mammography and bone density imaging equipment and a new space for providing women-centric imaging services.
The addition of this equipment is part of our ongoing commitment to improve patient care and provide the highest quality imaging available. Look for more updates in this newsletter as we continue our efforts to maximize the efficiency of our operational systems!
